About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Bath on Grand Parade, Solina Pasta is a standout Italian restaurant that masterfully captures the essence of authentic pasta-making while offering a contemporary, inviting dining experience. Known for its carefully curated menu of rich, flavour-packed dishes, Solina Pasta immerses guests in a culinary journey through Italy’s beloved comfort food with a modern twist.

The moment you step inside, the warm rustic interiors and stylish branding create an atmosphere that feels both effortlessly chic and welcoming. Large windows frame panoramic city views, allowing natural light to gently bathe the space, while an expertly chosen playlist complements the convivial buzz of patrons savoring their meals. The open kitchen concept further enhances this vibe, offering a tantalising glimpse into the skilled craftsmanship behind each dish.

At Solina Pasta, every plate is a celebration of bold flavours and textural harmony. Their pasta selection is extensive and impeccably prepared — from the silky Spaghetti tossed with fragrant olive oil, garlic, chilli, and crispy pangrattato, to the hearty Rigatoni smothered in a sumptuous pork and fennel ragu, each bite bursts with authentic umami depth. Signature dishes like the creamy Carbonara Pasta and the slow-cooked Beef Shin Ragu with Reginette showcase the chefs’ dedication to layering taste and tradition with finesse.

Diners routinely lavish praise on the tiramisu, heralded as a crowning jewel of the menu, with its luxuriously smooth mascarpone and perfectly balanced espresso-soaked layers. Desserts like the Affogato and the rich, velvety Burrata paired with roasted peperonata and capers provide delightful, memorable finishes that linger on the palate.

The small plates and dips also deserve a special mention — the truffled wild mushroom arancini with pesto mayo is an absolute revelation, crisp on the outside and decadently creamy within. Equally tempting are the Romana courgette with cannellini bean dip and the crispy pork croquettes accented by parsley mayo. Each dish reflects meticulous attention to ingredients and seasoning, elevating simple components into flavourful highlights.

Solina Pasta’s cocktail menu complements the food perfectly, boasting classics such as the zesty Aperol Spritz and Negroni, alongside inventive concoctions like the Solina Picante and Peach & Elderflower Hugo. These drinks, crafted with equal care, add a refreshing and indulgent dimension to the meal.

Customers regularly rave about the consistently high standards, describing their dining experiences as "a dream" with chefs who clearly know their craft. The friendly and attentive service matches the food’s quality, ensuring every visit feels both personal and polished. Whether you're a local or a visitor craving authentic Italian flavours enhanced by contemporary flair, Solina Pasta promises a rich, satisfying culinary experience that stays with you long after the last bite.

Solina is such a wonderful pasta place in Bath! The pasta dishes have so much flavour and umami that every mouthful is a dream! Kudos to all the chefs there. They know what they are doing. All pasta dishes were consistent in their flavour which I love as you know the chefs know what they are doing and are very well trained. I have to say, that my son had a scoop of vanilla ice cream and oh my God, I just discovered the best ice cream, this is not exaggeration here, this ice cream was proper Italian style ice cream, no ice crystals, just pure smoothness! We also had the tiramisu which was as excellent as mine (coming from a professional baker)

Made it to the top of my list for Italian restaurants in the UK: Solina Pasta Loved sitting by the big windows, looking out over the city while soaking up the rustic interiors and gorgeous branding details. It’s one of those places that feels instantly stylish but still welcoming. The music was so me! We shared fluffy Focaccia with courgette & cannellini dip, crisp Mushroom Arancini, the dreamiest Cacio e pepe Bucatini, and Spinach-Pea-Ricotta Ravioli — all so fresh and full of flavour. And the desserts? The lightest, creamiest Tiramisu and a Raspberry Ricotta Sbriciolata. Don't let my simple words of description fool you, though. The flavours are so much more than I can explain! Beautiful, delicious, and so worth a visit. Guess we'll be planning our next trip to Bath soon, just for a taste of @solinapasta

Lovely restaurant with great playlist, delicious food and bustling atmosphere. Butternut ravioli (£15) was very tasty and tiramisu (£9) was outstanding. Like everywhere it’s fairly expensive. Will definitely go back to try other dishes!

Pasta could be a bit softer but still excellent. Friendly quick service. Mocktail was average. Arancini was out of this world. That tiramisu was Well done chef

I’m not a local, and safe to say, this was one of the best meals I’ve ever had in the whole west of England!! the whole restaurant was such a vibe as well, love the open kitchen concept where we get to have a peek of what goes behind the scenes. their pastas were extremely delicious but their tiramisu was definitely the star of the show. their shellfish bisque pasta was so appetising. My friends and I enjoyed our time here and would definitely travel to Bath just for this restaurant again soon <3

Had a table for 2 just after opening on Sunday! Staff were lovely and we were seated out looking bath. Menu is simple and we got two arancini, th mushroom pappardelle and the venison ragu. All delicious, good portions and very well priced for central bath in a stunning venue, can’t wait to visit again.

The best homemade pasta I’ve ever had. The portion isn’t very big, but it’s delicious. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, and the staff are lovely.
